Billie-Jo Porter
From the small country town of Quirindi, NSW to stages across Australia and beyond, Billie-Jo Porter is an artist grounded in storytelling, connection, and a genuine love of country music.
Blending Country, Americana and Indie Folk, Billie-Jo creates songs that feel warm, honest and familiar — the kind that capture everyday moments and turn them into something worth holding onto. Her music is shaped by lived experience, travel, and a deep appreciation for the simple, good things in life.
After spending time travelling through North America, a turning point at a Canadian music festival inspired Billie-Jo to fully pursue her artistry. Since then, she has steadily built a career defined by authenticity, consistency, and a strong connection with her audience.
Her self-titled debut album (2023), produced by Shane Nicholson, debuted at #4 on the ARIA Australian Country Albums Chart and was named Album of the Week on ABC Country — a milestone that marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
As a songwriter, Billie-Jo has been recognised both in Australia and internationally, including as a Toyota Star Maker finalist, International Songwriting Competition semi-finalist, Unsigned Only finalist, and TSA New Songwriter of the Year finalist.
On stage, she brings that same honesty and energy to her live performances. Billie-Jo has appeared at festivals including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Groundwater Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster and Bello Winter Music Festival, along with international performances in Canada — building a loyal and growing audience along the way.
Whether performing with her band or in a stripped-back setting, Billie-Jo is known for creating a space where people feel connected — to the music, to the moment, and to each other.
With new music on the way and a continued love for the road, Billie-Jo Porter is an artist who’s not just building a career, but a community — one song at a time.
